As you can clearly see the house needs some work but this weekend I just wanted to relax. I needed a lot of time to nurse the pool back to health. Ten days of kids running in and out without a shower near the pool had taken their toll.

Hopefully the work on the house will start soon. The owner is apparently in a financially challenging situation so I have suggested to do the work on our dime if he lets me live here rent free for 3 months. I need decking around the pool, a shower, a bladder tank to increase water pressure and some minor renovations done.
For now the place is perfectly habitable though.

The terrace for dining.
As you can see the table needs some work since some people do not understand the need of putting something under your candles. :) Nothing a quick sanding won't fix.

The terrace for sunbathing and watching sunsets.
Thanks to Annique and Ilona the place also feels like home now. They have brought over my stuff that helped to make it mine instead of just a holiday home.

The 'snug' for reading by the fireplace in winter.

The living room with all my electronics to keep me in touch with civilization...

The living from the other side. I still need to print & hang more pictures.

The indoor dining room for when the weather turns.

Here is where I'd like to spend more time...
Next time I will give you all a tour of the bedrooms, the playroom, the basement etc. For now I have had enough. The weather is very nice now. Not too much sun (it really gets hot here around 4PM) and thus a nice day for dinner outside with a book.

Cheers!

Ziet er hebbelijk uit :-)
