Hana Highway Revisited

Today the weather prediction was sunny in Kihei and raining in Hana. That means that the actual weather would be raining in Kihei and sunny in Hana. You get the hang of it after a while. I decided to give the Hana Highway another go since it should be more fun with sun. It was. I could really enjoy the driving this time and I even visited some of the sights, something I rarely do.

The most impressive thing is how green everything is. And how many shades of green there are.

If you ever go here with a partner you will have to swim under a waterfall.

The ocean is always present here, no matter where you go. Even though the seas where quiet today, I always am very aware of what rogue waves can do. More people drown on Maui each year than in any other state in the US. A good many of them are swept off a rock while taking a picture.

The most interesting stop was the 'Garden of Eden'. A very beautiful arboretum. If this was the Garden of Eden than this must be Eve...

(I've been on the road too long)

Below are some other interesting sights from the garden.

After this long drive I needed to cool off. I found a friendly stranger who was kind enough to take some action shots of me.

If only...

Later I will try to upload some video of the drive. I found a way to fix my camera to the car so that it looks a little better.

Aloha!
